By the Seven Suns of Cinnibus, I besiege the mystic oracles to bestow upon Tonya Plank, a.k.a. Swan Lake Samba Girl, a worthy perch for this Saturday's avidly awaited matinee performance of ABT's Swan Lake starring Marcelo Gomes and the Imperial She.

I shall be present, of course, autographing programs in the lobby until the Met guards activate their well-rehearsed "swarm" technique and "escort" me to my seat.

But what if I'm unable to catch Swan Lake's Saturday mat? a little voice squeaks. What will I do with my afternoon?

Update: News comes Friday night that injury has sidelined Veronika Part for tom'w's Swan Lake. As I dry my Tears of Disappointment, I wish her a rapid recupe, as we all do.
